Demand Side Analytics

Join Our Team!

At DSA, we are driven to create a smarter and cleaner energy future, and we are always looking for talented professionals who share our passion for achieving this goal.

We work on a wide variety of energy projects across North America, using causal and predictive analytics to assess how new technologies and interventions affect energy use and planning. All staff work directly with our senior energy experts to produce high-quality tools and analyses for our clients, allowing employees to develop skills while solving pressing questions for programs and policy.

We are growing fast and are looking for candidates with strong quantitative skills and demonstrated interests at the intersection of analytics, energy, economics, and policy. If you are looking for a team that will welcome your ideas and provide opportunities for growth, we would love to hear from you.

Please send a resume to hiring@demandsideanalytics.com if you’re interested in any of the positions listed below.

What We Are Looking For

Day-to-day activities include data management, analysis, and communicating results to our clients. Projects cover topics such as:

  • Impact evaluations for energy efficiency programs and behavioral interventions
  • Evaluations of smart technologies designed to reduce peak demand, such as smart thermostats and time-varying rates
  • Forecasting of distribution-level electric loads
  • Granular forecasts of energy efficiency, demand response, solar generation, electric vehicle adoptions, and battery storage
  • Quantifying locational values for resources to manage demand

With a large portfolio of current projects at DSA, candidates must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Successful candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills and be comfortable explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences. Candidates will also support business development with proposal writing and have exposure to clients on a regular basis.

We are headquartered in Atlanta and the San Francisco Bay Area, where a majority of our employees live, but we are also open to remote positions for the right candidates. For analyst positions, we give some preference to candidates in Atlanta and the Bay Area since they can benefit from more face-to-face training and project work with nearby staff.  We also provide co-working office space for employees wherever possible.
